Portholme Fun Run Godmanchester

THE EXHIBITION, GODMANCHESTER WILL BE HOLDING OUR ANNUAL FUN RUN AROUND PORTHOLME, FOLLOWED BY LIVE MUSIC FROM  ‘UP & ATOM’ WITH A HOG ROAST & BBQ.

THE RUN IS APPROX. 4 MILES FROM THE PUB OUT ACCROSS THE RECREATION GROUND, AROUND PORTHOLME AND BACK TO THE EXHIBITION.

REGISTRATION FOR THE RACE STARTS FROM 10AM AT THE EXHIBITION. THE RACE STARTS AT 12 NOON.

SPONSORSHIP FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST.

ALL ARE WELCOME TO TAKE PART AND ALL MONEY RAISED WILL GO TO MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

Exhibition Golf Society – Charity Golf Day in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

Since 2005, regulars at The Exhibition Pub and members of the Exhibition Golf Society in Godmanchester have raised over £45,000.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

We intend to increase this staggering amount with more fund-raising activities than ever in 2011, including a Charity Rowing Day, Fun Run, Race Night, Inter-Pub Cricket match and various charity nights/events held at the pub plus of course our highly successful Charity Golf day.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved, in particular our sponsors and volunteer helpers who have made this possible.

The Golf Society’s Charity Day will be on Saturday 18th June 2011 – Tee-Off 9.00am. The venue is Beadlow Manor Golf Club, Nr. Shefford, Bedfordshire, SG17 5PH – Tel: 01525 860800.

EVENT FORMAT: TEAM FOURBALL STABLEFORD

Full handicap allowance – maximum handicap allowance 24

Team result based upon best two scores per hole, Prizes for Winning Team & Runners-up, Best Individual Player plus many other prizes including Nearest the Pins and Longest Drives.

Individual players are welcome and will be allocated into teams.

Tee-Time 9.00 am (SHOT-GUN START), please arrive at least 45 minutes before tee off.

There will only be a limited number of places available as this a Shot Gun Start

Drinks and refreshments will be available during golf from DRINKS BUGGIES.

Entry Fees (Teams or individuals need to complete registration) – Team of four players £160, Individual entrants £40

Includes coffee and bacon roll on arrival, 18 holes of golf and lunch. Please make your selection for the lunch on the application form

Please complete the sponsorship part of the form if you wish to sponsor a hole or donate a raffle prize.

Draw for the raffle will be done after the Golf and lunch on 18th June 2011.

Huntingdon Restaurants, Huntingdon Pubs and other nice places to eat.

If you are looking for a Restaurant in Huntingdon or a Pub that serves good food then you have a great choice from cheap places to very expensive ones. Huntingdon has a great selection of places to eat from Hotels, like the George or The Old Bridge Hotel to Restaurants like Prima or Pizza Express. There are several Indian Restaurants and loads of Pubs serving great food.

Although The Exhibition is located a few miles from Huntingdon in the picturesque town of Godmanchester we think our Pub and Restaurant is well worth a visit. Over the River from Huntingdon we have ample space for parking, a great beer garden that you can dine in when warm enough, we have a great bar and nice restaurant.

If you are looking for a nice place to hold a celebration, maybe a birthday or christening then we can also help. Hire our Bar, Restaurant or both for your event, we have even had marquees and bouncy castles in the garden! Our Restaurant is family run by Paul & Sarah and serves fresh food prepared by our head chef, Jeremy. The Pub or Bar area  is Simon’s domain, there are often a gathering of locals sat at the bar who are a freindly bunch and always welcoming.
