Godmanchester Pubs

Pub in Godmanchester with great character. We are a family run pub on London Road in Godmanchester, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Godmanchester is one of the old towns of Huntingdonshire. We used to have loads of Pubs in Godmanchester. If you visit the Porch Museum on one of their open days you’ll see that there have been, over the years lots of pubs, most of which are now residential houses. The road bridge into Huntingdon must have been a popular trade route. I guess with the river and old mill that Brampton, Hartford and Godmanchester must have been busy. Now in Godmanchester we have The White Hart, The Black Bull, The Royal Oak and The Exhibition Pubs.

Pubs in Godmanchester are complimented by the Comrades Club, Alis Tandoori, Cinta Restaurant which used to be called The Old Chinese Bridge and the Fish & Chip shop, all of which serve alcohol.

Godmanchester Pubs are popular with visitors from Brampton, Buckden, The Offords, Papworth, Hilton and further away, like Alconbury & Molesworth, Cambourne & Cambridge.

Looking for somewhere to meet clients or lunch with colleagues?

The Exhibition in Godmanchester has become a popular place for local Huntingdon business people to meet. Lunch times are busy with business talk over a light lunch but we can offer you more than that.

We have a couple of sofas for informal meetings, we can arrange a quiet table in the restaurant for more formal business meetings. We have free wi-fi too for you iPad or Laptop.

Either way we can guarantee our usual high level of service to ensure that when you invite clients or colleagues to meet with you at The Exhibition you’ll create a great impression.

If you require a hot lunch, a light bar snack or just coffee then feel free just to turn up. We can take bookings if you are entertaining a large group or you require privacy or a buffet. We are open from 11:30am and although we stop serving food we don’t close so there is no rush to finish up leave.

What are you doing on the day of The Royal Wedding?

Fancy a Garden Party?

On Friday 29th April, the day of the Royal Wedding and a public holiday we’ll be holding a garden party at The Exhibition in Godmanchester to celebrate. The Royal Wedding starts at 11am on Friday 29th. That’s a little early for us but we’ll have the TV on if you want to watch it. From 2pm we’ll kick off our garden party.

It’s going to be a hot and sunny day (hopefully) and we will be holding our Royal Wedding Garden Party with live music from The Decanters, a barbecue and a bouncy castle.

It will be a great weekend at The Exhibition because we have Matt Harvey singing here on Saturday 30th April from 9:30pm so if you are looking for something to do whilst Will & Kate tie the knot and a way of spending your bonus bank holiday, come join us.

Godmanchester Pub crawl by My Friend

My Friend GMC, PE29’s local magazine and one of the free local business directories has visited the four Godmanchester Pubs and written a review. They started at The White Hart, made it to us at The Exhibition, then down to The Royal Oak and onto The Black Bull.

I’m not sure what they mean by wood panelling because we’ve checked and although we have a wooden bar there is no panelling. That aside not a bad review for us and The White Hart.

Pub & Restaurant close to Wood Green Animal Shelter

The Exhibition is a great place to eat if you are visiting Wood Green Animal Shelter. With so many events held at Wood Green in Godmanchester we often find that people pop in for lunch or dinner here afterwards. We are near to Wood Green. We serve tea & coffee all day, we have free wi-fi, bar meals or snacks and a full restaurant menu if you fancy a more formal meal.

If you are visiting Wood Green Animal Shelter and want a nice place to eat then The Exhibition is perfect. We are the closest Pub and Restaurant but not only are we close we are a family friendly pub with a great restaurant, we welcome children and dogs, our garden is great in the summer and we have loads of parking.

From Wood Green Animal Shelter turn right out onto the A1198 towards Huntingdon, Godmanchester and the A14 and away from Papworth. Turn first left into Godmanchester and travel down London Road past the school where you’ll find The Exhibition just before the bend on your right.

Godmanchester Pub – The Exhibition in Godmanchester is a well known long established Pub with great atmosphere. Our locals tend to congregate at the bar but we also have loads of tables and even a couple of leather sofas. Great Pub in Godmanchester serving great wines, beers & spirits.

Godmanchester Restaurant – The Exhibition in Godmanchester has a great restaurant. Our head chef, Jeremy Ireson ensures continually high standards. The choice of Godmanchester Restaurants means service and quality has to be high. Lovely restaurant in Godmanchester.

Godmanchester Bar – Looking for a nice glass of wine, a Gin & Tonic or a chilled pint then pop into The Exhibition in Godmanchester. We have a great beer garden too so when the son does shine on Godmanchester come and grab a table.

Local Godmanchester Events – We hold some of Godmanchester’s Gala week events along with our Fun Run, Live Music and Charity Fundraisers like Macmillan Coffee Mornings.

Godmanchester is a great place to be and we are proud to support the town.
